Today we went to old man hills it was a pretty good run the hills were tricky and long (i was doing 800 cuz im doing mile) but i really felt good except my feet are kind of aching though and i think i need new running shoes i have had them for a while i think my dad is going to take me monday to get new shoes but i got an even better work out at joshs party having a battle with byrina to pop his balloon i ended up losing sadly but it was a well fought battle. |

| am- easy 3 ran in my new shoes for the first time liked them pm-today we did a 8 mile with 24 minute at my knee was hurting so when we started out so the beginning of my tempo i wasnt really on pace im not sure how much off either though because i dont have a watch so i just have to try and go what i think is right but when stoner and mia started catching me and preston i went that pace because its the same as im supposed to be going but preston wasnt pushing himself enough and wasnt staying up with me so i just left him after we finished the tempo my knee started hurting again but it wasnt overwhelming after we stopped stoner showed me this like room in the side of the hill with a safe inside which said pentagon on it so thats kind of weird but that gave preston time to catch up and i told him to run back at our speed but i guess he just wasnt feeling it today which isnt good he is already supposed to be running like 5 seconds faster then me on the at. so it was a pretty good run besides my knee and i liked running in my new shoes. |

| Today we ran up green springs and did 3 fart lecks it was a fairly easy run and it was good my knee felt tons better just slightly sore in the beginning the only bad part was that at about the last 1 and 1/2 mile i really had to go to the bathroom i ended up missing the striders so i went out to do them by myself and i just finished the 2nd one when the girls came and told me we had to do weights first and for some reason i listened to them and just ended up not doing the striders. |

A.M. We just ran the usual to arctic circle and back nothing to report on that.
P.M. We ran warm up and cool down to harts taiki the japnese dude came. Then we went to the track and did 4 x 1 mile i was supposed to be hitting 6:07 and my times were 6:12 6:12 6:12 6:17 so a little off but it was still a pretty good run there is no going back and changing those times so i just have to improve next week. But now my knee is starting to hurt really bad again it was gone the last couple of runs but now its hurting worse than it has been before now it hurts to go up stairs and do stuff with lifting my leg up. Been kind of walking with a limp since the workouts been over. |

| Am- We ran the usual 3 miles to arctic circle Pm- warm and cool then we did the 1600 time trial i didnt do as good as i wish i would of but i will just push myself harder and not beat myself up because of it like coach said. But after it was over on the cool down my knee was starting to hurt again and it hasnt since like a week and a half ago so that isnt good i think i have a little bit of tendonitis i guess i will just have to push through it and take care of myself. This is my first entry of the season which is pretty bad but I guess you have to start somewhere. This was the most amazing race for me I didnt expect to do nearly as good as I did. I felt good throughout the whole warm up and go my spikes on just mentally preparing myself for the race. When i got up to the line I felt ready for the race to start when the gun went off I didnt take off very fast I was probably in the middle pack but I was steadily passing people. After i came through the track the first time the time was around 5:10 and I had moved up from probably in the first 20-30 people to like the top 15 and i could see josh leading a pack up in the distance and I was steadily gaining on them. and i started passing them and ran next to josh for a little bit and i started pulling in head of him by the parking lot and I could see a few desert hells guys up in front of me and i realized i was in like the top 10 and i thought that was prety crazy and i made up my mind to catch them and I had passed the 2 of them by the grass before the baseball field and i was running by another hellion for a while whose name was Jake also so when people cheered for him i pretended they were cheering for me and i think it might of actually helped. I finally passed him after made it around the tennis courts. I could see Andrew and Logan up in the distance about to enter the track and thought there was no way i could catch them but soon i realized i was gaining on them and just before i entered the grass by the parking lot i had passed Andrew and Logan right after that on the grass and I thought it was crazy i was in third place. I could see Reed and Dave up in the distance but they had a lead and i knew there was no way i could catch them. I was pushing it pretty hard and it was starting to hurt but i still felt strong and i was coming through the baseball field and I heard coach roberts say i know it hurts but you have to dare to go so I used that to encourage me and I picked up my pace more and by the time I entered the track like almost every race i felt there is no way i can kick but i can hear everyone cheering so i start going harder anyway and by the last 100 im thinking this hurts to bad i cant go any faster but then just told myself if that as soon as I stop the pain will go away so i just pushed myself the last little bit especially after seeing the time under 17:00 and I ended up with a time of 16:55. It really was a great race i felt strong the whole time and I was passing people the whole time. Even the cooldown wasnt so bad and that usually kills me after each race. All together that was definitely the best race ever and it was awesome to get my first medal and score for the first time and for our jv team to get a perfect score. |

| I was pretty nervous for this race I didn't know how good I was going to do like when I was running the warm up I felt like I was dying it was so hot. But when I got up to the line after I while i started feeling pretty pumped. I didn't really know what to expect with it being an all comers race and most of the teams running there varsitys so I just decided to take off pretty strong and try to be towards the front. I was pretty happy with my start even though a lot of people started off faster and were in front of me like Preston and Andrew and Dave so I just kept passing people slowly which I think I did pretty good at. By the last lap of this race though I was dying especially on the up hill. I was running next to bridger for desert hills and kept trying to pass him the whole way up but he kept speeding up when I tried to pass him. By the end I tried to kick it was ok but not my best and I was surprised when I crossed the line and Colton was the person in front of me. All in all I think it was a pretty good race for me I feel pretty good about it and I hope just to keep improving through the season.

| AM-3 miles easy I wore my zero drop shoes helped me land on my toes pretty well they made my calfs a little sore like they always do so I'm stretching icing and rolling that like always and I'm probably going to wear my pure cadences tomorrow
PM-1 mile warm and 1 mile cool to Pizza Hut did 1 minutes today was a little off didn't do quite as well as I would have liked to but I still did decent and had a good workout I got 11 of them. Had weights after got a pretty good work out from those. All in all I had a pretty good run today even without getting we many minutes as I would like to I will just have to try harder next time and hopefully push to getting all 15 .

| AM we ran barefoot around the baseball field was a pretty good run felt awesome had 4x200 after which we also did around the baseball field it was pretty cool i have never done 200 barefoot on the baseball field
PM I got some good cross training after being forced to ride my bike over to the run a thon because i could not get a ride ran my first 2 miles in the first shift at 6:00

At the awards bolivia took third place over all not bad for our first year in the world championship race walking
5 AM had the dash for cash i ran 2 400's they were not the funnest thing i had ever done i was extremely tired.

PM today we had 5x1000 i had a pretty good workout hit all my times like i was wanting to pretty much first was 4:02 felt good that whole one the second one is the only one i would of liked to be a little bit faster because i tried to imporve a little each time but still a solid 4:02 the third one i had a good improvement to 3:55 then the next one 3:51 then the last i got 3:45 pretty good controlled workout today not to hard but still a decent effort.

PM we had the workout/time trial thing the first 6 1000's i felt strong and good on and i was thinking about the little time trial thing. when we started i felt pretty strong not to tired from the workout and i was going next to reed and andrew but reed soon had a pretty good gap on us and i was just going with andrew and cameron. i felt pretty good but still tired the whole time and after the third lap i started trying to speed up a little to catch reed and by the time we got to the hill i was pretty close and i was ready to push past him but he just kicked pretty hard when he saw me and ended up beating me by a few seconds even though i didnt get first im still pretty happy with my performance

| AM had a pretty good run we went faster then usual but it was kind of good it helped me work on my form better because it was easier to land on my toes but it was probably my fastest morning run this year we were done in like 20:30
PM today we had our first michigan of the year i was pretty excited cuz i wanted to get b standard for the first time. the first 800 we took off pretty good i ran like a 2:47 but the pack i wanted to stick with was in front of me a bit so by the time we left the track i didnt really try to push to catch up i just kind of did so i just stuck with them and i had a pretty good mind set a lot better than last year when we did michigans. After the first 1.5 off the track just as we are turning to go down matt lands on like the only patch of mad in that grass and completely biffs it and it was a pretty good fall to but he got up and just kept going the next 800 on the track i really didnt keep track of time but i felt like i sped up so that was good. The next 3 800 were pretty tricky especially everytime we hit the hill i felt like i fell back a little but i would catch up right after that. So we finally get to the last 400 and its me matt and andrew all in a group matt has since taken the lead and andrew behind him and me in the back on the last 100 i try to pass andrew and i start gaining and i get pretty close but then andrew kicks hard to try and catch matt and they are like right next to each other with matt probably only .01 in head of him and me a second behind and i end up getting a lot faster then i expected with a 25:51. Cool down i was kind of stiff and had a weird thing in my hamstring but it went away. we then did striders and had weights.

| Today was the time trial from the start i wasnt really where i wanted to be i had fallen away from the group i wanted to stay with. I wish i would have been more gutsy but im not going to be negative about this and do better next time. im still pretty happy with my time even though i would of liked to have passed a few more people.

PM today was a way legit run we did neon spiders for the first time going through it was pitch black and i just had to hold on to krennys shirt and keep running but it seemed like someone behind us was going to slow and pulling us all back. i think it was actually almost like a good trust excersise i just had to believe that krenshaw was going to lead me the right way and that i would make it out i felt like i really did trust krenny though i never really had doubt. at the very the water all of a sudden got way deep and i soaked my shoes so that kind of sucked but it was still a legit run. 4x200 after and weights.

| today we did 3 on 3 offs it was a freaking killer work out i hit each of my distances and on the last one i even pushed to hitting 950. then we had 4x30 seconds i did pretty good on these over all i had a great workout today felt awesome except a little soar throat. was a good day

| AM i showed up pretty late so i ran the morning run pretty quick didnt catch up to the team until like a little past 2 miles.
PM Race i was kind of nervous i dont really know if i was quite mentally prepared for this race but when we finally started i was into it imediately i was kind of in the front right from the start and that was the first time i had ever been up at the front in the very beginning but right after i was in the front for a little until like half of our jv was up there and i was in like 6th place. After like the first lap was finished it was like me andrew and dave and cameron in the front and it was like that for a lot of the second lap until it was like me andrew and cameron a little in front. At the start of the last lap i passed cameron at the very beginning and he didnt really go with me and i led the rest of the race which was kind of weird being my first time i have ever led a race. At the end i wish i would have sprinted it out more i could here matt byrun and abel all yelling at me to sprint but i didnt really have anyone to push me so it was more of like a strong push to the finish then a sprint. Overall im way happy with this race getting first place for my first time ever and i beat my last time by 10 seconds most likely due to the fact i got new racers. Hopefully i can just keep improving and be as good as i can possibly be. I have a new goal of JV region champ.

| today we had a michigan it was a pretty good workout i pushed it pretty hard and stayed pretty good the whole way throught the last 1.5 mile section my legs were getting pretty tired but i just kept with it the whole way and had a pretty strong last 400 with a like 1:20 even though my time was better last time(25:51) i still think it was pretty good at 25:55 i felt like i pushed it way harder than last time even though its not a pr im happy with this run.

| this was a pretty good race i felt like i gave a really strong effort but there was definitely parts of the race where i wasnt racing as hard as i could of. I was hoping to go under 16:30 but im still happy with 16:44 its a new course pr from my first time this year when i ran a 18:48 so i guess there was some good improvement there. Next race at snow canyon im not going to settle into racing comfortably and im going to push to a sub 16:30.

| Today we ran 4 miles to sanbergs it was a pretty good run nice and easy 4x200's after and like everyone was doing the recovery way to fast so i said screw them and ran farther back with cam cuz he wanted slower recovery also. I guess we just cared more about doing quality 200's then everybody else.

| Today i was pretty excited coming into the race i didnt really know how to compare the times on this course compared to last years snow canyon so i didnt really have a goal this race. So the start of this race was pretty good i was with andrew and reed for the whole first lap but starting the second reed kind of pulled in head and i was just right behind andrew for a while longer until the hill andrew kind of pulled ahead but at the top i pushed a bit and got a little closer but then he started to just build more ground on me coming back around towards the school there was some water on the side walk and it was super slippery and i almost felt like i was going to fall but luckily i didnt after getting on the grass just before the start of the track there was some people coming up close to me and right at the track a couple canyon view people passed me and i just didnt go balls to the walls like i should of and stayed in front of them and i really didnt sprint like i should until like the last 50 meters so at region i definitely need to work on kicking it in. This was a pretty good race for me there is a few aspects i definitely could work on improving but i think i did pretty good so at region i plan on just going full on balls to the walls and killing it.

| today we ran 4 miles up to green springs then i had 4x800s at r pace afterwards which were pretty good i got 1:14, 1:11, 1:10, 1:08 which i think were pretty good times to hit

| today we had a 1.5 tempo with 2 sets of master blasters on the tempo i didnt feel like i was going way hard but it was a strong push and mine and logans time was 7:26 so basically i kind of think i broke the 5 minute mile for the first time on a 1.5 tempo. The master blasters were pretty killer but they were still pretty fun .5 pre warm 1 mile warm and cool
